Featured - With roots back to 1883

Tschudi Shipping Company, with roots back to 1883, is a privately owned Norwegian holding company of the Tschudi Group.

Tschudi Shipping Company is owned by fourth generation of the Tschudi Family. The advantages of a long- standing family ownership allows for longer planning and investment and our future development will be built on this approach and our wish to create values by ‘daring to be different’.

During the past 10 years, our company has developed into a Shipping, Offshore and Logistics Group that creates joint transport solutions from within all internal resources of the Group to offer customers a total package.

More recently the Tschudi Group in close co-operation with Atomflot and Russian Authorities successfully executed the first international bulk transportation between two non Russian ports via the Northern Sea Route. The carriage of iron ore from Kirkenes (A Tschudi owned port) to Lianyungang in China proved commercially viable and an alternative to international trade route during the ice free season. The savings for customers are significant the fuel savings alone, with a reduced voyage of 15 days are substantial and not to mention lower carbon emissions. For more information please visit our website www.tschudiartictransit.com to unlock the potential of this route not only for bulk transportation but a very important oil & gas hub in Kirkenes.

As well as ground breaking new routes and changing the face of conventional shipping Tschudi have long been established in Russia & the Baltic States providing daily departures throughout Russia & Caucasus Republics by both road and rail, but it is the rail services we offer that stands us apart being one of a very limited companies to offer 20ft & 40ft once way rail containers with the prefix EVRU. By using EVRU rail containers we are able to provide an efficient service with extremely favourable rates, using the Trans Mongolian/Manchurian/Siberian routes as well as BAM Trans Siberia and Silk Route.
