The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK is an independent professional body for individuals associated with logistics, supply chains and all transport. It aims to be the focus for professional excellence and the development of the most modern techniques in logistics and transport and encourage the adoption of policies, which are both efficient and sustainable.

Logistics and transport professionals work across a wide variety of disciplines and modes and we are the Chartered Institute for everyone, wherever you are in the profession. We operate through our structure of Professional Sectors which provides a clear window into the work of each particular area of interest, whilst continuing to offer opportunities and involvement across the Forums, National/Regional Groups and Events, and all of the other Institute activities.

With over 30 special interest Forums, you have a unique opportunity to engage with the wealth of knowledge and information available within the Institute, which will help you to connect with expertise on both a national and international level. We are able to develop your career and knowledge through education and training, newsletters, articles and research as well as by networking with fellow professionals at meetings, seminars and events where you can learn and have fun all at the same time.

CILT members are part of the only multi modal, multi discipline professional organisation in logistics and transport.
