Global Freight is in the running for a top international trade title after being named as a finalist in a prestigious awards scheme.
The company, based in Telford, is shortlisted in the Insider 2014 Midlands International Trade Awards which take place next month.
Almost 30 of the region’s top exporters are vying for honours on the night, and Global Freight is one of three finalists in the International Logistics Award category.
Managing director Nicole Howarth said: “We are absolutely delighted to be named as a finalist in these fantastic awards which do so much to raise the profile of the great companies we have importing and exporting in the Midlands’ region.
“We are priviledged to work with a number of companies, ranging from household names to SMEs, which are successfully trading overseas and opening and developing new markets outside the borders of the UK.

The awards dinner, now in its third year, will take place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel at the NEC on 9 October.
Dominic Jermey, chief executive of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the government body responsible for encouraging businesses to export more, is this year’s guest speaker.
The judging panel includes David Bailey, professor of industrial strategy at Aston Business School, Baxter Freight owner Ian Baxter, UKTI deputy regional director Christine Hamilton, Sally Swann, JLT Specialty head of office, and Min Rose, senior executive of Asia Business Centre in Nottingham.
