ConFoot Ltd introduce new ConFoot CFW set

ConFoot CFW

Finland-based manufacturing company, ConFoot Ltd, has expanded its product offering with the introduction of its new ConFoot CFW set.
Effective as of July 2016, an update to SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) requirements state that shippers need to provide a weight certificate showing the VGM (Verified Gross Mass) of the container and contents prior to vessel loading.
While weighing content separately or weighing the packed containers can be time-consuming, impractical or expensive, the new ConFoot CFW set allows containers and contents to be easily and reliably weighed anywhere, anytime, with no additional equipment required.
Representing traditional Finnish design and innovation, the light and mobile solution can be operated by one person and comes with an accompanying application for use with smartphones and tablets, enabling easy weighing and reporting.
Part of ConFoot’s ongoing research and development process, ConFoot CFW legs meet and fulfil all SOLAS requirements, with a product prototype being presented at Intermodal Europe 2018 in Rotterdam.
Priced in the region of 6,500 euros per set of CFW legs, deliveries are expected to start in the fall of 2019.
